These were made using a common impression die. Each item was hand poured, shaped and finished by us. Each poured round weighs at least 2 Troy ounces of .999 fine silver. The impression die was slightly altered to give it a textured finish.
The skull and crossbones symbol dates back to the 13th century and possibly earlier. Most famously associated with pirates, but also a known symbol of momento mori as it was commonly used as a gravestone mark on tombs. It is also associated with a symbol for hazardous or poisonous chemicals and or materials.
