This hand poured silver bar was made to replicate old Spanish bullion. The bullion traded for goods & services or pay off debts. Our version was made to pay honor to those who enjoy the art of pouring melted metal. This bar was not made to look good or be perfect, but give the appearance that it aged as if it lived in the gallows of a ship for thousands of years. Bearing the symbol of the republic for which it belongs to and the makers mark, ours of course.
Each bar made is not the same shape or weight. The original bar, using .999 fine silver was poured using a cast iron long bar mold. Then cut in half and finished to our liking before it was stamped and branded with the makers mark. As we do with most of our poured items, this one was finished with an antique look. Then we sat back and enjoyed the look and feel of this bar.
